Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year, I registered for the Sheffield half marathon in the spring and entered the ballot for the Great North Run in the autumn. This year I entered the ballot for the London Marathon.
Due to lockdown delays, these events are all happening within three weeks of each other!
On Sunday 12th September, I am due to take part in the world's biggest half marathon for the first time.
On Sunday 26th September, I am due to run my local half marathon (with all its hills!) once again.
Then on Sunday 3rd October, I am due to take part in my second ever marathon, the UK's biggest.
I will be running for the National Autistic Society, a charity close to my family's hearts. They make a huge difference to the lives of autistic children, adults and their families across the UK, offering support and raising understanding of a complex, varied and lifelong condition.
My place in the Great North Run is a charity place, contingent on me raising at least £350. But let's see if we can smash that - I'll be running four times that distance in total over the three races, so let's aim for at least double the cash! Every £1 will help make a difference and build a better society for autistic people.
