We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Every hour someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's, yet there is no cure and very little is known about why people get this cruel disease. Over 127,000 people have Parkinson's and symptoms and how quickly they progress are different for everyone.

My dear Mum, Christine, died in February this year, and bravely fought Parkinson's for the last few years of her life. She suffered frequent falls, loss of balance and reduced mobility, but still enjoyed life to the full. I want to help raise awareness of this illness and help Parkinson's UK to find a cure.

I know many of you already donate to lots of good causes and will have many people to sponsor but I hope you will feel able to contribute a small amount to sponsor me in the Kingston Run Challenge, in memory of my Mum. Your donations will help support other people with Parkinson's in the UK, and help to find a cure for this disease.

Thank you so much for your sponsorship and support.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
