Story
One of the two charities I am raising money for on the back of my Ultra Marathon attempt is Doddie Weirs “My Name’5 Doddie Foundation” which raises money for Motor Neuron Disease research. Doddie played no. 5 as a legendary Scottish international rugby player. This is in support of my oldest mate Jon Edwards who was diagnosed with this cruel disease last year and has been inspired by how Doddie is raising the profile of the disease.
“My Name’5 Doddie Foundation” is a fantastic charity and raising money for them in support of Jon is something I really wanted to do. Remembering how brave Jon is being in dealing with MND will help me through the dark miles that I will inevitably come across in my 100 km (62 miles run).
