We did it!!!!
Over the Jubilee weekend Nick and I successfully completed The Rust Bucket Rally in our 1998 Mercedes SLK 230 along with another 40 cars!
Many thanks to all those who donated, you helped generate close to £40,000 to Prostaid from the group as a whole.
Best wishes.

UPDATE
Sadly because of COVID this event has been postponed a number of times. All being well we are now scheduled to undertake the challenge early June!
If you haven't kindly donated please do so now!
Many thanks.
Richard and Nick
Nick How and Richard Gorely are taking part in the Rust Bucket Rally in June 2020.
The challenge starts in Wellingborough, early on 5th June and will see us drive 2500 miles across 7 different countries in an old “rust bucket” that must cost no more than £500. We hope to complete the challenge and arrive home safely (and no doubt a bit smelly) 4 days later!
The Charity we are supporting is PROSTaid.
The Charity fund three local PROSTaid prostate cancer nurses in the East Midlands, two based in Leicester, and one we have just started funding a PROSTaid prostate cancer nurse at Northampton General Hospital. PROSTaid fund more prostate cancer specialist nurses than anywhere else in the NHS !!. The cost to fund this new Northampton nurse to the charity over three years will be £68,000! PROSTaid raise public awareness of the disease locally, offer vital support and befriending for patients with the disease by men who have prostate cancer.
They also provide five Support groups throughout our area, to give support to local men newly diagnosed and treated and to patients with advanced prostate cancer. PROSTaid fund new innovative treatments, tests and equipment. PROSTaid are a local Charity formed in 2006 with a positive attitude to prostate cancer and our aim is still to continue to improve treatments and save lives!
Team Piston Broke hope to raise over £2000 so please support us.
