Story
Everyone has a story…this is mine!
My sister has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has been undergoing treatment since August this year. Speaking as a family member, the big question for me is ‘What can I do?’
The truth is it feels like it will never happen so close to home…but when it does, it changes everything!
The Breast Unit Haven’s own slogan is… ‘Everybody knows somebody’. This never felt like it applied to me until it did. My sister has shown herself to be the strongest and bravest person I know. Her story started at the Worcester Breast Unit Haven. I hope that this event will raise awareness and money for this fantastic charity so that support is available for anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer…just like my sister.
What I can do, is paint! So I am going to create a large scale painting with the theme of ‘Strength, growth, change & hope’. I will create this piece of art over a 24 hour continuous period. I am hoping to raise awareness and generate funding for the treatment of breast cancer.
The aim is to raise as much as possible for this extremely worthwhile cause. All money raised will go to the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.
