In memory of Melanie Jaggard
We fund research, education & equipment to help fight all Head & Neck disease

Story

This year I have set myself four challenges: running the London Marathon, completing the London Triathlon, running the New York Marathon and cycling from London to Wales.  The latter event is part of a bigger fundraising effort in memory of a friend and colleague, Mel Jaggard, who sadly passed away last year following a long (but inspirational) battle with cancer.  Through this event and related activities we hope to raise £50,000 for the Get A Head charitable trust to help fund research into Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) an incredibly rare and (currently) incurable form of cancer.

The money raised will help fund a project at the new Molecular Research Centre at The Royal Marsden to understand the genetic pathways of ACC to enable them to find targets and blockers for it. The project will require funding for the next four years at least so your money really will make a huge difference!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
