Story
Three times a year, Felsted Aid sends a convoy to the Revival Centre in Chernihiv in Ukraine with Humanitarian Aid. There are three transit vans which go out on each 3,500 mile round trip, and In July, Rich and I will be driving one of these. These vans deliver vital relief to the children and their families at the Revival Centre and are needed now more than ever. Rich and I would both appreciate anything you could contribute to this crucial cause.
The aid is delivered to a rehabilitation centre called the Revival Centre, which is run by Dr Vasil Pasichnikwhich ('Dr P') and was established in 1996, with the help of the British people. The centre helps children suffering from the effects of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster and their families. It has taken six years to develop and equip the centre, which has treated over 3,000 children.
The cost of a course of treatment for a child for 21 days is £112.00. This includes food and accommodation during their treatment, and all treatment costs. The children receive a complex treatment of medical, psychological, paediatric and social help in the centre, Felsted Aid is presently looking for funding for 375 children.
