Story

UPDATE

I did it. It took 1 hr 34 minutes and 8 seconds. Which was none too shabby. Thank you all for sponsoring me and I shall be starting work on your priceless (literally) works of art in the next few days.

UPDATE

The training is going well. Not long left now. Also just to say anyone who sponsors me gets a hand drawn CHAINSAW LIBRARIAN postcard. (If you don't know what that is count yourself lucky and trust me it'll be a collectors item one day.) So if you want one make sure to leave you email so I can contact you after the triathlon and get it to you. Read on for my original blurb from back in March

Original Bit

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

If you're looking at this I guess you know me. And you'll know I'm not an accomplished athlete. And especially over these winter's months we've just had I've been gradually melding into my settee. So a Triathlon seems a great way to get out there and do something. Plus why not raise some cash for a good cause. In this case the NSPCC.

Why the NSPCC? Y'know for kids. Children deserve a right to safety and a childhood before the real world gets its teeth into them. Sadly that isn't always so and the NSPCC are working hard to make these abhorrent cases even fewer and far between. I can't do much but I can do more than racking up another achievement on the xbox.

So what exactly will I be doing? Its a 500 m swim, 20km bike ride then 5 km run. Sound a lot? Sound a little? I think it sounds doable. Doable but it will need some effort putting into it.  Its going to be on the 5th of September 2010 in Nantwich. You're all invited to come along.

So please dig deep and sponsor me. Either because you're feeling altruistic and want to help, or of you're feeling a little bit malevolent and want to see me suffer. No matter which just go for it. Cheers All.
