Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday the 30th July 2017 the Royal Artillery Cycling team and I will be taking part in the Prudential Ride London in support of the DNRC, www.thednrc.org.uk.  Please use the previous link and understand what a fantastic and humbling project this is and the reason why we as a team are supporting and raising funds.  It is a charity that is close to our hearts as service men and women and are honored to be involved.  We rode last year in 4 hours 30 mins but want to go one better and attempt to complete the ride in 4 hours 15 mins.  Myself and the squad will endeavour to train as hard as possible to achieve this.

The Black Stork Charity, or The DNRC Charity as it is now known, was established in May 2011 to raise funds and to facilitate the design, management and construction of the DNRC.  The main charitable objects are concerned with the promotion of health through:

Provision of clinical rehabilitation of members of the Armed Forces

The promotion generally of rehabilitation medicine including research; and The provision of facilities, equipment or services to restore people who have experienced a disabling disease or injury (regardless of profession) to optimum physical and psychological function and to enable such people to return to and remain in appropriate work

We are helping to fundraise and hopefully play our part to open the first clinical rehabilitation Centre for the armed forces, a £300 million project.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page, wish us luck, we may need it.
