We fund research and provide support to improve blood cancer patients' lives

Story

Hi

Welcome to Rhona and Alex's page. We are taking on 3 challenges to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research which is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Leukaemia is the most common form of cancer in children.

This charity is close to our hearts as Rhona's dad passed away from Myeloma in 2001 and in 2008 Rhona herself was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia which fortunately was easy to treat and she is back to full fitness. She will need to be for these challenges!!

The first challenge is the Glasgow 26 mile bikeathon on 21st August 2011 which we have now completed. The second event is the the 10K Great Scottish Run in Glasgow on 4th September 2011 and the final challenge is the Pedal for Scotland 51 mile cycle challenge from Glasgow to Edinburgh on 11th September 2011 as the The Blazing Saddles team.

We would love it if you could make a donation. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
