Hi everyone! My name is Reo Palmer i am a student at Green School Bali.

I am so excited to announce my application has just been approved as a volunteer in Malaysia Borneo.
I will live and work in the heart of Sabah rainforest for 5 weeks, Alongside communities who lack access to basic services.
Part of this application is to fundraise for volunteers like myself to get to Sabah Borneo. The funds will cover my flight cost, and the funds raised will also goes towards raleigh program so the program can continue to create lasting changes and transform lives of some of the world's poorest communities.

This trip is very important to me because I believe that it is a human right to have access to basic needs. It is very rare that you would get the chance to go somewhere so remote and live and work alongside communities where almost half the population live in poverty.

Its my chance to disconnect from the ‘ material world’ and appreciate the real things and what mother natures has given us.
Although 5 weeks isn't enough to make significant changes, I hope that I can at least make a small difference to the lives of people in these villages so that they can have a greater opportunity to pursue their dreams, a privilege that many of us have been so fortunate to have.
