Story
It is heartbreaking for me to write this.
My beautiful, kind, compassionate, empathetic, loyal friend Kerry has recently lost her life to cancer leaving behind her family and beautiful brave 6 year old daughter.
She was diagnosed with cancer shortly after her little girl was born, her concerns were ignored as she was breastfeeding sadly she was stage 3 by the time she was diagnosed. She fought hard for her family and was in remission for the last 5 years.

A week and a half before her most recent diagnosis she was living a normal symptom free life but started having difficulty breathing. It was then she was informed that the cancer had spread to both lungs and she was stage IV incurable. Just after 7 weeks she sadly and shockingly passed away.
Kerry worked in healthcare and went above and beyond for her patients, being kind and empathic. She was driven to make a change and has started counselling at college to make a difference despite her own challenges.
She was an inspirational woman, a great mother full of fun and laughter, a wonderful friend with great advice and so witty, an amazing colleague with the biggest heart.
She will be well and truly missed by all.
I hope by raising money for The Chris Aked Foundation we can help other families going through such hard times.
Remember with your health if in doubt check it out!
