Story.
Stef was a kind, caring and compassionate man who liked nothing better than spending time with his family and friends . He loved rugby, his dog, a good pint and great banter, bragging about his children, helping other people, , and making others smile.(oh.. And police camera action.....!).
On 27 March 2013 Stef was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer which came as an enormous shock to everyone including him. However he never gave up, never complained fought like a tiger and managed to keep his dry sense of humour right up until his death 12 weeks later, in the care of Lindsey Lodge and surrounded by those he loved . He was just 59.
The day before he died staff at the hospice helped us to arrange a lovely party so Stef could watch the Aviva rugby final with his friends and family, a game which he should have been watching at twickenham but was too ill to attend. A precious memory, and one which illustrates perfectly the ethos of this special place which is all about living rather than dying. Everyone who passes through the doors of Lindsey Lodge receives the most amazing care support and even love.
Stefs family and friends hope you will support us by donating money in Stefs memory so that others will also be able to benefit from the same wonderful care that Stef and his family were so lucky to have received.
