Story
On 10-11th October 2009 Ian MacRae & Jack Hoskins will take on the ride of their lives so far...
The Relentless24 is an endurance bike ride near Fort William, which climbs part of the Ben Nevis Mountain Range, and taking in sections of the World Mountain Bike Championships course over a grueling full 24 hours.
Working as a team of just two, Jack and Ian will make as many laps as they can of the 7 1/2 mile mixed terrain course between lunchtime on Saturday and midday Sunday. As a team they are expecting to notch up a minimum of 20 hours in the saddle and cover between 120 and 150 miles.
Ian and Jack are riding in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, who have been a huge support to Ians parents through his fathers battle with cancer. It's time to give something back!
This race will test to the limits the abilities of even the most experienced riders, but this will be Ian and Jack's first big race - nothing in their long years as weekend riders, or careers as postman and teacher, will have prepared them for such a feat of riding skill, mental toughness and physical endurance!
You can watch a video of last years event here to see just what they are facing!
Please, please dig deep and make every pitch black lap, aching muscle and graze worth it!
Thank you!
