Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page
On Saturday 3rd November at 3:30pm, we'll be abseiling down London's iconic Battersea Power Station to raise money for three charities that help provide practical and emotional support to survivors of brain injuries.
Our wonderful Dad, John, (who is Zoë's Dad No.2) suffered a brain haemorrhage just over 12 months ago. He spent 4 months in hospital, followed by 5 months in Thomas Edward Mitton House, a specialist Neuro-Rehab Unit run by the Disabilities Trust.
You can read more about TEM House here, but the short story is that they helped Dad rediscover his health, humour, awareness and independence - and his recovery was remarkable. When he came home in May, Dad was 'Dad' again...
We want others with brain injuries to benefit from places like TEM House, so please click the donate button, or contact us to make an offline donation - and please don’t forget to gift aid if you are a UK taxpayer.
Many thanks,
Ali, Shelley & Zoe
(PS - If you want a reminder of Battersea Power Station's iconic status within London's landscape and culture, take a look at this clip of the building being used as the backdrop to Pink Floyd's album 'Animals'... Rest assured, we're abseiling down the building - not the chimneys... ;)
