We Work alongside our chosen charities to Enrich lives of children & young adults

Story

Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last August when asked if I wanted to walk up Kinder Scout in the Peak District, I immediately said yes. From the minute we started walking I knew I was going to get the 'bug'! Once Kinder Scout was done, it was all about Snowdon in January. An experience I will NEVER forget...torrential rain, winds at about 15mph & obviously very very cold!

Anyone who knows me will know how much I absolutely hate rain, so getting to the top & back down drenched through and in that horrendous weather was a massive achievement for me in itself!!

After this was ticked off, I knew Ben Nevis was on the cards as I'd already had conversations about it. The difference this time round was that I knew I wanted to do it for charity. Speaking to two people very close to me, it was clear to see we all had the same idea & wanted to do this together. It was then we had a 'eureka' moment and thought about our beloved Leicester City FC! How could we raise money for charity but also get the club involved?

Well this is exactly where The LCFC Foxes Foundation comes into this. The foundation has been running for many years and our very own Foxes legend Alan Birchenall is at the forefront of this. He helps to drive this, raising money for partner charities across Leicestershire & beyond.

I'm very honoured to say that myself, my brother Vishal & our friend Neal Ruparelia will be embarking on 3 separate challenges in April and May;

Friday 26th April (Watford game at home)

Birch's annual run (50 laps around the pitch/90 mins)

Saturday 4th May (Nottingham Forest game away)

Cycling from the King Power Stadium to the City ground

24th-26th May

Climbing Ben Nevis

All of the following charities are part of the Foxes Foundation 2012/2013 and all money donated will be split between them all;

1. The Lord Mayor's Stroke Appeal

Enhancing care & treatment to Stroke patients

2. The Silver Star Diabetes Appeal
Campaigning to provide Diabetes awareness

3. Home Start

Family support charity

4. The Alzheimer’s Society

Providing support to sufferers and their families

5. Thailand Charity Partner

Foundation for the welfare of mentally ill children in Thailand

6. Our Space Appeal

Supporting young people with cancer

7. LCFC Defibrillator Campaign

Helping to provide life changing equipment

I'm sure you'll all be able to relate to at least one of these charities in some shape or form. Please dig deep. Help me to raise as much money as possible and help the less fortunate - get those pennies out from behind the sofa, from inside your car, out your piggy bank! No matter how big or small, all donations will be massively appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
