I am running the 2023 Great North Run in aid of the Thin Blue Paw Foundation 🏃‍♂️.

Thin Blue Paw offers financial support to retired and serving police throughout the UK. People are unaware that retired police dogs do not receive financial support, meaning the responsibility of their care and vet bills fall to their ex-handler or new owner and due to the injury’s some of these dogs have to recover from this can come at a huge cost.

Police dog Luna and handler PC McBride from Police Scotland who are pictured at the top of my page, have been recognised with the Lifesaver award from Thin Blue Paw Foundation for the 38 lives they have helped saved while working together. 

PD Luna is just one of 30+ dogs in Police Scotland who is supported by Thin Blue Paw.
