Story
On 3rd April 2011, I will be embarking on the trip of a lifetime to Tanzania, the 7th poorest country in the world. During my four weeks here, I will be making a real difference to the community by teaching children in the very schools that I have had a hand in renovating.
The trip has two parts – for the first part of the challenge I’ll be camping in a village in the foothills of Kilimanjaro whilst renovating the local primary school and making it fit for children to study in. This will really make a huge difference to the children’s learning experience. For the second part of the challenge i’ll be volunteering at a local school, where I will be involved in a whole range of activities.
Over the next few months I will be doing whatever I can to raise my target of £1170! Some fund raising will be fun, whilst others may well be very challenging- i look forward to it no matter what!
So please, please, please donate whatever you can! Every little WILL help!
