Reconomy Group Christmas Jumper Day, 10 December 2021
We work with disadvantaged young people to improve the conditions of their lives.

Story

This year we have given all Reconomy Group Companies the chance to put forward a charity to receive fundraising from our annual Christmas Jumper Day. Having been put forward by Nationwide Services and selected at random, in 2021 we're delighted to be supporting Second Chance.

Second Chance was founded in 1984 and grew from the work of the founder and present chief executive Doug Hulme in special schools. It was originally known as "The Foster an Angler" charity, because it took children from deprived backgrounds camping and fishing

Second Chance is at the forefront of caring for children who need special help. They may have been abused, come from a poverty stricken background or have learning difficulties, sometimes all three! For 34 years Second Chance has worked in an innovative and original way; using angling to hang our educational, social and personal welfare work on.

All Reconomy Group employees taking part in our Christmas Jumper Day are kindly asked to donate a minimum of £2 to this fantastic charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
