Story
Help to beat cancer.
Thank you for visiting my Shine fundraising page!!! I am walking the full marathon starting at 9pm on 29th September 2012 in support of Cancer Research UK.
I am walking in memory of my cousin, Jay Ford, who very sadly passed away after a long battle with cancer on July 30th this year. He was brave and strong, playing paintball - which was his passion - all the way to the end. His dry sense of humour, witty banter and good nature will be missed by so many people and I know that he will never be forgotten. I want to raise as much money as possible to help other people like Jay and to help them fight against cancer!
I will also be walking in memory of my Granddad, who passed away after battling prostate cancer in December 2004. He was also a very brave and strong man who was intelligent, caring and had a great impact on all members of the family. His influence is still seen in all of the Hutchins family today.
I am also walking in support of all of my friends and family members who have been/are being affected by cancer. Unfortunately this number is much higher than anyone would like, but with your kind donations we can help more people survive cancer.
Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by sponsorship and every pound you donate really does make a difference to Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer – so please sponsor me now!
Gift Aid it! - If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
Together we will beat cancer.
