We are running the Bath Half Marathon on 3rd March 2013 and wanted to raise money for a charity that affects so many lives and is especially close to my heart.

My grandad had Parkinson's from the age of 60 to the day he died in 2008. He lived with Parkinson's for 23 years. My nana looked after him throughout these years with the help of my dad and the rest of the family. There are so many people that are affected by Parkinson's, not only those who have the condition but those loved one's who support and care for them. Parkinson's charity helps in all areas. Not only are they the largets charity funder of Parkinson's reasearch in the UK - trying to find the cure and a greater understanding of what causes it - they also campaign to change attitudes on Parkinson's and provide support to the family and friend's, which Jules and I think is so important.

When Jule's and I were discussing what charity to support, I suggested Parkinson's and she was totally supportive and said she'd love too. So here we are...
