Hi my name is Becca Weiss. As many of you know raising funds and awareness to fight Multiple Sclerosis is close to my heart.  

According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in the UK MS is the most common disabling neurological disease among young people. The MS society is dedicated to offering help and support to people living with MS and funds innovative research.  Currently there is no cure for MS, but it is my sincere belief that by raising awareness and funds there will be one in the near future. 

 

In May my sister started Team BS, a group of family and friends who compleated the Chicago MS walk.  So to continue the good work in London, I will race in the Adidas 5K Woman's challenge.  

Now truth be told, I have never considered myself  "a runner" I've even had this fact pointed out to me on a few occasions, but that is all about to change! I can officially run 5K in 44 mins and 44 sec. { don't laugh :) } My goal for September is to finish in under 40 mins... and be conscious when I do.  

I know finances are tight these days, and any support you can offer will be deeply appreciated... even encouraging words!

Quick update: Thank you so much to everyone for the amazing support! There was such an exceptional response! 

One day to go!! I am so excited to run this race tomorrow.  So far my fastest time has been 37 min and 20 sec. So I think with the excitement of the day I should be well on my way to pass my first goal! 

Warm up starts at 10 and the race starts at 11:00 in Hyde Park! If you come in at Hyde Park corner station, it is near the Queen Mother Gate.  So come cheer us on! I'll be # 2667 in the bright orange shirt.

Can't wait to see everyone there!

Hey just a last update, the race is done, and it was amazing! so many people there and a beautiful day.  I finished in 34 mins.. who'd have guessed??!! Thank you to everyone for the great support!!
