Story
I am training the Great North Run on 12th Septembery to raise money for a new baby bereavement suite at York hospital.
When I started running after Aoife's death I never thought I would ever be running a half marathon. My first aim was a 10k even though I couldn't run around the block without stopping.
I am running The Great North Run in memory of our beautiful baby girl, Aoife Rose Dunnington.
On 22nd February 2020 at 21.14 pm myself and Grant had our beautiful baby girl, who we called Aoife Rose Dunnington. Aoife was born sleeping after finding out at a routine appointment her heart had stopped beating at 27 weeks.
The hospital are so very close to reaching their target of £250,000 to build a much bigger room with access to a garden for families to spend time precious time with their precious babies who have been taken too soon.
We hope that by sharing our story, we can raise awareness and funds for The York Hospital Butterfly Appeal 🦋
