After years of wanting to take part, I am finally taking up my biggest challenge yet and am running the London Marathon 2011. I will be running for a charity that is very close to my heart and hopefully will be close to the hearts of all who live or have lived in Bedford.

I was running this with my husband James, but sadly due to a knee injury, he is now not able to run.

The Bedford Hospitals Charity has just launched its new Gamma Plus Appeal to raise £600,000 towards a new Gamma Camara. This will provide Bedford Hospital with diagnostic equipment which is amongst the most advanced in the world. Please help me reach and hopefully smash my target for this great charity.

My training is currently up to the 17mile mark and going really well.
