Story
Rough sleeping has increased nationally by 165% since 2010. Most of us want to help, but don't always know the best way to do that. Our response is the Real Change Bedford Fund.By donating to the Real Change Fund, your money will make a real change to the lives of rough sleepers. It will pay for items they need to get off the streets for good. Real Change is a collaborative venture between homelessness services, Bedford Borough Council, Bedfordshire Police and Bedford BID. It is managed by the Bedford Homeless Partnership, and funds are administered and distributed by Community Voluntary Service Bedfordshire, a registered charity. We want to end rough sleeping in Bedford Borough, and you can help us do that. MY STORY
I have noticed a lot lately that there are a lot of homeless people and it upsets me to think they are hungry and cold.
It’s hard to see people like this when I have everything and more.
I wanted to start to do something and have been giving money when I see people in need. Then the other day with my mum and brother we spoke to a man who was hungry so we went into the shop to buy him some food, my mum let me and my brother pick some lunch for the man and give it to him.
It was a good feeling to give that to him so I wanted to see if I can raise some money to give to others and with your help too.
MY CHALLENGE
If you have some spare money, just a few pounds please donate. I am setting myself an exercise challenge where I have to do minimum 15,000 steps a day, 20 sit ups and 20 press ups.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and let’s try help some people in our community .
