Reach1000

1000 Challenge · 22 April 2020
🌈Reach 1000 🌈 was inspired by our children wanting to do something to help COVID-19 sufferers
The aim is for children to Reach 1000 bounces (or activity of their choice) in return for donations from their friends and family so that together we can Reach £1000 to help our local hospitals.
Bailey (Year 7) from Bower Park Academy, Kayleigh (Year 6) & Jamie (Year 5) from Clockhouse Primary School and Kyla (Year 4) from Parklands Junior School have each completed their 1000 bounces and donations of support are flooding in … Now they want children from their schools and others across the borough to get involved.
It’s simple
All proceeds of 🌈 Reach 1000 🌈 will be going to the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (King George & Queen's Hospital) who are in urgent need of vital equipment to guide the rehabilitation process of post COVID-19 patients. Amongst the list of equipment required are a number of pulse oximeters and stopwatches.
These pieces of equipment will enable therapists to monitor patient’s oxygen levels, heart rate and recovery times - parameters which in turn can be used to guide the safety and efficiency of the rehabilitation process.
The portable pulse oximeters are ideal as they sit comfortably on the patients finger and enable monitoring throughout the whole treatment session. A set of pulse oximeters and stopwatches will cost just over £1000 so please help us 🌈Reach1000🌈
