Story
We are raising money to support Crisis. Imagine being homeless during this pandemic when we are told to isolate at home to stay safe.
We plan to use the idea of the 2.6 challenge to help UK charities weekly while the lockdown continues.
The idea came from seeing the great work people are doing with the 2.6 challenge, it inspired Christine to cross train 26KM one morning and donate £26 to a charity. While doing this she came up with the idea for our family to continue with weekly challenges raising funds for a different charity in need each week.
This weeks charity was chosen by those who are following, liking and supporting us along the way and we left it to a ballet.
Week 3 challenge is... to exercise for at least 26 minutes 26 times during the week. Christine and I have both agreed to this challenge and hopefully by the end of the week our boys may join in too with a little persuasion, they haven't budged yet but we are working on them.
Its hard to protect yourself from the coronavirus outbreak when youre homeless. People who are sleeping rough are more likely to suffer from respiratory conditions. They cant wash their hands. And if someone is sleeping rough or in a crowded night shelter, its impossible to self-isolate.I'm raising vital funds to support Crisis in their work to help homeless people. Theres only one thing thats certain in these uncertain times. Its a time to pull together and help each other. Any gift, big or small, will make a difference at this time of crisis.
