All money donated through this fundraising page, from now until April 2022, will be allocated by Norwood specifically to Ravenswood Village.
About Ravenswood Village:
Ravenswood Village is an exceptional home, like no other, for people with learning disabilities. It is forward-looking and a role model for how exceptional care can be provided for people with complex needs.
Ravenswood Village is set in more than 120 acres of Berkshire countryside. This gives the residents the freedom to walk out their front doors while simultaneously enabling and encouraging participation in Berkshire's wider community.
Without Ravenswood Village the quality of life of both the residents and the communities it sits within would be diminished. It has truly been a lifeline for families in their times of need and demonstrated how much people can achieve when opportunities are available to them.
Ravenswood has been a pioneering community, since it was set up in 1953 by four families aiming to provide education and care for their children and others with learning disabilities. Today it is home to 96 residents living in 12 registered care homes.
It is a unique community which epitomises Jewish values while also providing a home for people to thrive in – no matter what their background, beliefs, or abilities everyone is welcome at Ravenswood and can fulfil their potential.
