Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

A few years ago our cousin Jeevan (to Archie, Raj and I) / nephew (to Pete and Kally) was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 5. It was a long process and there were so many hurdles and obstacles that parents face to get to that stage. It was totally new to us, and we had some serious self learning to do!

Watching Jeevan grow up we have got to see the way he navigates a world that was just not made for him. He perseveres and adapts to everything around him.

Organisations like National Autistic Society offers free support to parents and children. Prior to diagnosis they offer an Early Birds course to parents who are at this early stage of a long journey into a completely new world.

We know Jeevan was lucky to get an early diagnosis and acceptance to a special educational needs school. Every child deserves equitable opportunities to succeed.

We appreciate that times may be tough right now so please give what you can to help people support the 700,000 adults and children across  the UK with autism  as well as their three million family members. Together we can create a society that works for everyone.

Thank you for your generosity!
