The core of our group were students at the University of Sheffield in the 1970s and we were/are all members, friends or partners of the Ranmoor House Hall of Residence Entertainments Committee (Ranmoor Ents).

Sheffield was and is a great university and we all benefited from a first class education, the platform for our success in later life. We want others to have the same opportunity, even if their personal circumstances make that difficult to afford. So, we are funding three scholarships each year for three years to help students selected by the university to get a good start in adult life.
