Story
Radio Newark FM continue to support The Children's Bereavement Centre as their Charity of the year.
We are now supporting them with one of their most thrilling and exhilarating fundraising events, a Wing Walk. Two of our team will be harnessing themselves to the wings of a bi-plane on 12 June 2021.
To see our finance director, Michelle Allen and supporter Lucy Brown take to the skies we need to raise £1,400.
Michelle runs an accountancy practice in Newark and has been director of Radio Newark for 7 years. She has a 6 year old son and enjoys cycling and snowboarding. After spending her 40th birthday in the first Covid lockdown she has been looking for a way to mark the occasion.
Lucy and her family have supported Radio Newark since the station first aired 6 years ago. Lucy is 18 years old and is currently taking her A-Levels at Toothill School before studying Bio-chemistry at Lincoln University. Lucy is a thrill seeker and was excited to take on the challenge.
Sadly every 22 minutes in the UK a child is bereaved of a parent. The Children’s Bereavement Centre is here to offer support to these children at one of the most traumatic times in their lives. By making a donation, you’ll enable us to continue the valuable work we do helping these children through their grief.
