Story

I will be running the Virgin London Marathon 2016 to raise money for Whizz Kidz and the fantastic work they do in helping disabled young people achieve their dreams and maximise their potential.

I have ran on and off for years and during the last year in particular I have turned to running as therapy to help me deal with difficult times, stress levels and bereavement of a close family member. I have a busy job as a midwife and running helps me deal with any work related stresses! I have decided to use this positively and train to run a marathon so I can fundraise for a fantastic cause. I have many fundraising ideas to help me achieve my target so stay tuned for updates!

Please help me achieve my fundraising target to enable Whizz Kidz to continue to change the lives of children every day. The work they do is truly fabulous, from initial assessment to provision of equipment, even running support and training groups - providing invaluable support often not avaliable from the NHS to help disabled children and young people reach their full potential.
