In memory of Martin Lightfoot, 18-06-1967 - 11-06-2021

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, which we have created in tribute to my wonderful partner, Martin, who was taken from me far too soon.

Martin was diagnosed with skin cancer in December 2019. At first he responded well to treatment, but in December 2020 we were told that the cancer was terminal. In April last year we found out that it had spread to his brain; we knew from then that it was only a matter of time. 

Martin passed away peacefully at home on 11 June, surrounded by his family and friends. The end came far too quickly and he is greatly missed.

Now a group of Martin's friends, family and neighbours are going to be taking part in the Great Manchester Run on 22 May 2022 to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research in memory of Martin to help find a cure for this awful disease.

We are: Rachel, Jo, Joe, Debbie, Simon, Rob, Heather, Paula, James, Keith, Lara, Richard, Sarah and Trish.
