Story
Here we go again then...
I ran this event in 2017 and whilst it was a good day and we raised lots of money, I clearly remember saying 'never again'. However it's 2022, I can't seem to say the word no so I'll be going back down to Portsmouth in October with my fellow i-Transport colleagues to run it again (of which some of them might as well be professional runners with the pace they can run at - I've told them they are getting the first (and second) round in whilst they wait for me).
I am not a runner, I hate running (very boring and no netball involved) and as I've done it before I know exactly how this is going to feel and I think this is the key reason I haven't started training yet.
Yes, I know I play a lot of Netball, but it is absolutely not the same and I've been GK most of this season so the fitness levels are no where near the same!
So I've moaned a lot, and I know it isn't as long as a half marathon, marathon etc. but 10 miles is more than enough for me! Any donation would be really appreciated for a charity which supports so many people for those that don't know where to start or look. Mental health impacts everyone and it is so important to look after yourself and reach out to those that will listen and support you as well as being that someone who is there for others.
The rest of my colleagues which are running in October are also raising money for charity so hopefully it will be a great day out and lots of money raised for an array of fantastic charities!
Now I've asked for donations, I better start training although setting this up in a heatwave may have not been my best idea...
