Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 1st October I will be shaving my head to raise money for the charity Verity’s Gift.

This is a charity that means a great deal to me. In 2018 Verity unexpectedly fell ill and was taken to hospital, she passed away four days later. Her daughter Harriet was aged 4 at the time (and attending preschool with my Samantha, they now attend school together).

Verity’s husband has founded the charity to raise money for local causes, and their first mission is to refurbish the Emsworth park children's play area. This is a place where Verity had spent many times with Harriet, and where Harriet and her Dad have found some solace since her death.

I can’t begin to imagine the pain the family has been through, but this is such a fitting tribute to Verity that I just had to do something to help. Any donations you could spare would be most gratefully received, thank you.

Verity’s Gift is a charity set up to give help to local causes. Our first mission is to raise money to refurbish the Emsworth park children's play area. We want to create a place where people of all ages can come and visit, relax. Myself and the team are excited to be launching Verity’s Gift, a registered charity in memory of my beautiful wife, Verity. In 2018, my life got turned upside down when Verity unexpectedly fell ill and was taken to the hospital. Verity passed away four days later, leaving Harriet, aged 4, myself, our families and friends reeling. It was hard to imagine life without Verity. I had imagined that we would grow old together, have amazing times and see Harriet grow up. During these dark times, there was one place that Harriet and I would go to reminisce. A place where Verity had spent many times with Harriet - Emsworth Park. It was the only place, Harriet would be able to raise a smile and reconnect with her mum again.
