Story
Firstly THANK YOU so much for visiting my page, I feel incredibly privileged for running The London Marathon raising money for Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity.
I started running in January 2020 (from not being able to run for a bus). I was at my lovely friends Kate's house one Sunday afternoon, she was talking about running, the rather strange words "I'd love to run" came out of my mouth - "great, I'll see you at 9am tomorrow morning" she said! I spent the evening thinking of excuses why I couldn't possibly do this. But probably the best decision ever and I went!
The first few runs of couch 2 5k, I thought I was going to die, but I learnt to breathe whilst running (a useful tip!) and i strangely started enjoying it!
Lock down hit, and running became my bit of me time, Some how I really began to love running, and graduated from couch 2 5k and on to 10k!
As restrictions lifted running with some lovely friends have become part of my life, from getting up for a 6.30 run in the hail, half marathons, and most recently the KVK (15 miles 1km of assent!)!!
I set myself the challenge to run a marathon in the year I turned 40! I felt so privileged when I got accepted for a charity place with Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charities.
Royal Cornwall Hospitals do such amazing work for our community, on a personal note they looked after my Granddad with such dignity and care in his final years, and also helped me bring my 3 beautiful children into the world.
Times are really hard this year for all of us, so please only donate if you can. I intend on running cake stalls, auction nights and other events over the summer, so perhaps I can tempt you with a slice of cake!
I would really appreciate a share!
