Story
As everyone knows I am not in the slightest bit energetic or excercise ever! However I plus several of my great friends, have decided to put ourselves through the torture of not only a 5k run but a 10 obstacle asault course whilst having coloured powder thrown at us constantly.....sounds like torture! Especially for someone who doesn't do excercise! HOWEVER.....the torture and potential pain I plus my fellow teammates will suffer on Saturday the 12th off September will be nothing compared to the millions of people who suffer from cancer every day in the world. Women, men, children....no one is spared. I, as well as members of my team, have loved and lost too many people to this awful disease and it's time it stopped!!! Whilst a cure hasn't been found yet we are getting there, although for those who have to go through the terrible treatments, with its horrendous side effects that is little comfort to them. As we are all too aware one of the side effects is hair loss. where as nobody is prepared for this, children are often the ones most affected by this, seeing their school friends plaiting each other's hair, having their hair done for parties, just being children. This is why we have chosen the little princess trust. The trust makes thousands of wigs each year for children out of hair donated by generous people (I too in the not too far distant future will be cutting my hair for the trust and donating it....it just needs to grow a bit! ). However as you can imagine although the hair is donated and the trust happily get wigs made and give them to children free each wig costs £350 to make. Please please help us raise enough money to pay for a wig for a child. A child who is suffering enough already and just deserves to feel like a princess.
