Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking on the Great North Run again this year in memory of my Uncle, as it is by far the best thing I have done so far to raise much needed awareness and funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

For those of you who don't know, Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. This causes loss of mobility in the limbs, difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing. There is NO cure for MND; which is why I like to do something for this charity every year to get the word out there. Funding research to find a cure and help sufferers is what we need.

I am joined by my Brother, cousin and 2 of my friends this year, so wish us all luck and please donate kindly. Every little helps and it really is such a good cause.
