Mummy's Star is the only UK charity that specifically supports women and their families when they are diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or in the first year following birth.

Mummy's Star was inspired to take action to help, inform and support pregnant women and new mums who were diagnosed with cancer after Mair tragically passed away in 2012.

Pete (Mair's husband) is a local hero, he leads the Mummy's Star team in the work they do, brings the local community together in fundraising efforts and is a genuinely nice guy.

We have chosen to support the PenNine Day Challenge because we believe the work Mummy's Star does is important.  Being pregnant and being a parent in the most straight-forward of circumstances is hard enough, we hope that the funds and awareness raised by our little challenges will help a mummy and their family in some way.
