Story
I am a near beginner when it comes to running.
After completing my first 5k two years ago, I haven't done much in the way of races. So going from that to THIS is going to be no bed of roses. As I write this (16th October 2012) it is 6 months, 4 days until I walk up to that starting line. Am I mad? Hell yes. But it's always been an ambition of mine (don't ask me why), and I believe I am doing this for a pretty worthy cause.
Anthony Nolan is bloody brilliant (excuse the pun). They have the most successful stem register in the UK, helping blood cancer patients find a match. The most annoying thing however, is very few people I've come across know of Anthony Nolan, and if they do, they have no idea that they are able to join the register, pain free, in a couple of easy steps (if they are of the right age). Currently, only half of the people that approach Anthony Nolan are given help. Anthony Nolan need help from you to expand that register, further their research and and provide more help to anyone suffering from this awful disease.
Please dig dip, make there be a reason for my madness! The training starts here...
