Story
My wonderful Dad has had a tough couple of years and the support that he and my Mom have received from their local Brain Tumour Support group has been invaluable. They have made some wonderful, kind and caring friends and it never fails to make Dad smile, even on some dark days. I've decided to run the half marathon to try and raise as much money as possible which will then go straight to support groups across the country.
Dad was a marathon man himself, and is no stranger to the long miles, aching legs and 'hitting the wall'. I'm hoping that the genes run in the family (excuse the pun) and I can make it round the course, but mostly I'm hoping to make him as proud of me as I am of him and the strength he has shown through his battle with this terrible and unfair disease.
So, please donate if you can. Or come down and support me - I'll be the one weeping around the 15k mark! Cheers guys x
