I suffered with palpitations , tiredness and breathlessness for years after many tests , I was diagnosed with ectopic beats and bradycadia . In 2008 I underwent an ablation to try to correct my ectopic beat , this failed then in 2014 I underwent another ablation with an array balloon procedure this time with no sedation , 4 and 1/2 hours in surgery whilst my consultant corterised muscle inside my heart , awake , I then crashed when I came out of theatre , this again failed and my symptoms continued . In January 2015 my pulse rate dropped to 29 and therefore I before high risk cardiac arrest at the age of 36 ! My consultant said I had no choice but to have a pacemaker fitted ! In March 2015 I underwent surgery and had my Biotronic pacemaker fitted , a new model on the market slimmer and slightly smaller and MRI compatable , I was programmed to a pulse of 60 , 18 months into having to get use to things I can and can't do due to it affecting pacemaker my symptoms have not subsided due to my Ectopic beats but I do feel better than I did I don't get as tired and are not so out of breathe .
This charity Arrhythmia Alliance is import at because people are walking round with symptoms and pulse rates that arnt normal and people do lose lives due to this . Please donate
