Story
I'm running my first half marathon for Nottingham University Hospitals Charity
On the 23rd October I'll be running the Leicester Half Marathon whilst raising money for Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.
In April 2015 my daughters friend Bella Hurst lost her life to a brain aneurysm. Words can't describe how painfully hard this has been and still is. Going from a bright, happy, helpful, generous, kind and beautiful 7 year old girl to just no longer being here, has left a massive hole to both friends and especially her family.
I can't change what has happened to Bella or her family. But your sponsorship will be spent directly by the unit that cared for Bella. The unit have received generous donations from many people raising money. However all the money raised is used to buy much needed essentials and help those receiving treatment feel just that little bit more comfortable.
I've chosen to do Leicester Half Marathon as I've always been at running events to support others, but I'd never taken place myself. It's been a challenge for me! Going from the girl that couldn't run 1 mile. I'm now looking to run 13.1 miles! I have to say there are times that I've really enjoyed the training. But like everything there have been tough times of sweat & tears (yes, literally!)
If you are able to give, the sponsorship money I receive from you will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my fund raising page.
