4 walk 44 miles over 4 days for 4th anniversary
#4walk44miles
During the pandemic 4 friends Rachael, Sarah, Allison and Helen have been walking for our physical and emotional well-being.
Initially we walked alone but as lockdown restrictions were lifted, in pairs and then all together. We have covered miles of the local areas visiting places we have never been to before.
We decided to set ourselves a challenge and raise money for Mary Stevens Hospice at the same time as 4 years ago, on 3rd July 2016, Rachael’s husband died in the hospice aged 44 of brain cancer.
To mark his 4th anniversary the 4 of us have decided to walk 44 miles over 4 consecutive days starting on 4th July with an aim of raising £444 for the hospice who cared for Adrian in the last 6 months of his life. The hospice cared for Adrian with such compassion and still provide support now to Rachael so we wanted to say a huge thank you in Aids memory. It’s especially important this year as the pandemic has had a huge impact on charities.
Gone but not forgotten #forever44
