THE CAMPAIGN

Animals Asia has campaigned for almost 30 years to end the bear bile farming industry in Asia. 

Bears and cubs are stolen from the wild and put into cages where they spend up to 30 years suffering repeated bile extraction which is sold for medicine.

The barren cages, often not big enough to turn around in, are in dark, concrete rooms. The bears have no contact with their kind, no stimulation or access to the outside, are fed inadequate diets, and are physically and psychologically broken.

Animals Asia has rescued over 650 bears to their two sanctuaries, but they need to build a third in Vietnam so they can rescue the remaining few hundred bears who still live on farms and end the practice forever.

The costs of rescuing all these bears and building and running a sanctuary are huge, so they need support so they can build it and start rescuing the bears before its too late.

THE CHALLENGE

Race to Rescue: challenge yourself or a friend to run, walk, cycle or swim a selected amount* in four weeks: July 16 - August 13, 2022. Scroll through the images at the top for the challenge categories.

You'll have fun, feel great about beating your PB (or discovering a love for a new sport) and be a part of history as we make sure that no bear is left behind.

HOW TO ENTER

Simply donate any amount you wish** and in the note add your email or Facebook profile name.

If you're on Facebook you'll be invited to the private Race to Rescue page where you can join others who are doing the challenge.

If you're not on Facebook you'll get an email.
