As you know, for years now, the trips we have run to Israel, Prague and Poland have had a significant impact on hundreds of teenagers from Stanmore. With Tribe, we are now expanding it across the UK to hopefully involve hundreds more. However we want to make sure that no child is unable to come to a trip or a camp through lack of funds which is why we have set up the US Chesed bursary fund. This fund allows ALL children to have these life changing experiences without embarrasing any family.

 

This Sunday I will be participating in the Community Fun run raising money for this worthy cause. I will also be pushing a local hero - Simon Davies who despite his difficulties is an active member of our shul and is being honoured this summer by carrying the olympic torch. Despite his cerebal palsy he attends shiurim at the shul and is such an inspiration to me and many others.
