Week2
Another busy week for the team accumulating another 106.8 miles which is a total of 232.8 overall. By Dr B’s calculations that puts us just South of Darlington!
Thank you for all you sponsorship so far please share far a wide were aiming for £1000 now!
Week 1:
Thank you so much for all ypur sponsorship so far. We have a clear leader of the pack, Friedi who has packed in as many miles as possible before a well deserved break. Followed by Prof a close second with 29.2miles in a week who beat Dr B by 1.2 miles (she almost went out again to ensure she was second!) Then Marytn on 18 and bringing up the rear Sophie with 15. Slowly realising that a toddler tantrum and having to pull 2 scooters on the way home is not conducive to covering the distance so a change of tactic is required!!
Check back next week to see who is leading the challenge! We have covered a total of 126miles so far! Thanks for your support!
Friedi:35.8
Prof:29.2
Dr B:28
Marytn:18
Sophie: 15
The Osteogenesis Imperfecta multidisciplinary team at
Stanmore have set themselves a challenge!
We are going to cover the distance from Stanmore to the Brittle Bone Society headquarters in Dundee. The 458 miles will be divided by the team and we aim to walk, run, cycle, row or swim just
over 90 miles each, over 30days!
Dr B has already organised 67 of her miles so the rest should be a cinch! Prof Keen is planning a little bit of everything to make up his total, Friedi is making a change to her commute to work and aiming to cycle part of the way, Martyn is our resident gym ‘buddy’ and will no doubt rack up the miles in no time and Sophie is walking any which
way possible to meet the target and yes that includes the walk from the Orthotics car park!
We look forward to raising awareness and much needed funds to support the BBS charity. We are grateful for any support you can give!
Check back for updates with a weekly running milage total! Wish us luck!
