On 6 August 2014 the gun for the Mongol Derby will go and 45 jockeys from all over the world will race across the start line of the world's longest and toughest horse race: 1000 across the open steppe of Mongolia.

And, slightly incredibly, I'll be one of them!

I hope to use the experience to raise as much money as possible for Seeing is Believing, who are working to eradicate avoidable blindness.  

My top 25 donors as at 30 July will be invited to name one of my Derby race horses.
