Regenerate-RISE is a charity that I, Sara, have been involved with for almost 10 years. We work with isolated older people in a number of locations across London and the UK, but started in Putney. We are currently fundraising to build a 10-bedded unit above our day centre in Putney, in order to help older people re-able after their discharge from hospital. For the majority of them this should enable them to then return home. We know from our own experience that there is insufficient provision for this, meaning that many older people stay longer than needed in hospital. 

Myself and Ray, one of our other trustees, are walking between the majority of the hospitals in South-West London which refer into our day centre, and which we anticipate will refer into the Re-ablement Centre. We will cover about 20 miles across Roehampton, Tooting, Chelsea, and Hammersmith and Fulham.
