Story
I started running in fancy dress in late 2015. This was when started raising money for Hope for Children after they gave me the life changing opportunity to run the grueling Marathon des Sables. I completed the MDS in 2016 as well as running 12 events in fancy dress including the London Marathon. Fast forward and 7 years later and a load of well-worn costumes behind me I now approaching my 85th consecutive fancydress run.
My costumes have included a range of superheroes Thor, Ironman, Captain America. Darth Vader and Chewbacca of Star Wars fame, a minion and rock stars Freddy Mercury and Elton John. ( singing all the way).
2023-2024 - Freddy and the Discoball
Throughout the next couple of years I'll be running as a giant disco ball, together with built sound system so I can pump out some disco tunes. I've already ran as the disco ball completing the Cambridge, Reading, Derby, Peterborough, Coventry, Alton Towers, Liverpool Half Marathons and the London Marathon 23. I've also ran the Copenhagen and Oslo 23 Marathon's dressed as Freddy Mercury.
4 more disco ball events planned for 2024. Brighton marathon, Bristol half, Oxford half and Amsterdam marathon.
Previously I collected with bucket whilst running but the disco ball sadly doesn't allow me to this. So please if you give generously and thanks for all the awesome support over the last 7 years.
